FINDING YOUR DREAM BOAT

Interested in purchasing a new boat but overwhelmed by the market?  Have a budget but don’t know where to begin on what kind of boat that will purchase?  How do you get the most boat for your money?  Not sure if a wooden boat is for you?  Like the nostalgia…but not sure what is involved?  Not sure of the pros and cons of diesel versus gas engines, pods versus jets?  Want something that you can handle but that can get you to the Black Dog in Vineyard Haven for breakfast?

Sail Boat Client Questionaire

1. Are you looking for a daysailor?*

1b. Is being able to spend a night or two onboard important?

1c. If yes, how many nights?

2. What is the maximum number of passengers that will be sailing at any particular time?* (Example, 2 adults and two children, six adults, etc.)

3. Is the ability to sail single-handed important?*

4. Will the vessel be sailed within the "Three Bays" area of Osterville and Cotuit, and thus require shallow draft?*

5. Will she be sailed in both the bays and the ocean (Nantucket/Vineyard Sounds)?*

6. Exclusively the ocean?*

7. Is long range motoring important (voyages to MV, Nantucket and beyond)?*

8. Will a motor be used simply to come and go from a mooring or dock?*

9. Is a simple "Marconi" rigged boat preferable over a gaff-rigged boat?*
